We have routinely ranked in the top 10 most spirited student sections in the county. Our award-winning choir program participated in the WorldStrides Heritage Pacific Northwest Choral competition in Seattle, WA. They competed against choral programs from Idaho, Nevada, California, Washington, and British Columbia, Canada! Our Diablos showcased their incredible talents throughout the competition and earned top awards including the Choral Sweepstakes for the top-scoring program overall. JPL Invention Challenge Finals at Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena. MVHS overcame many obstacles including passing the initial competitions for an invitation to the JPL finals, beating out more than half of the original competition of 150 + teams. We earned 12th & 13th place overall and secured the coveted award of Most Unusual Entry. Our contraption employed many different uses of potential and kinetic energies such as gravity, springs, pulleys, teeter/totter, ramps, inclined planes, swinging pendulums, elastic bands, push pins, and even Hot Wheels cars and race track. A lot of the other groups in the competition used only 2 or 3 types of energy to complete the task. MVHS Engineering Program is officially recognized as an International Award Winning Program. Aria Morrill and Isabella (Izzy) Linale capture the powerful interactions between Helen Keller and her teacher Anne Sullivan during MVHS’ stirring rendition of "The Miracle Worker." MVHS Oceanography program made their annual trip to the Scripps Institute in San Diego for an immersive marine experience. MVHS Football stops by the US Supreme Court before their big game against St. John’s High School in Washington D.C. Girls Varsity Softball is ready to bring the heat as 2022’s CIF champions. Sofia Elliott was named Player of the Year in DII and Clint Watson won coach of the year. ? The Orange County Register/OCVarsity Coach Thurlow and the MVHS varsity boys volleyball team brought home the 2nd league championship in MVHS volleyball history with a 9-0 season. Way to go Diablos!!
